'Despicable Me 4' is a Minion blockbuster that follows the Gru family, who have upgraded their abilities after transitioning from villainy to becoming agents for the Anti-Villain League (AVL), as they try to stop the vengeful villain Max who escapes from prison.

This series has set a remarkable record as the first animation franchise to surpass $5 billion in cumulative box office revenue and has topped the box office in 63 countries worldwide.

Director Chris Renaud, who helmed this project, explained, "There are many artists with global fandoms, but K-POP has a unique appeal that extends worldwide. The music is fun and energetic, which aligns with the 'Despicable Me' series' goal of providing audiences with a great time."

BTS's 'Dynamite' can be heard in a scene where the Gru family, disguised and adapting to a new life, takes refuge in a safe house while fleeing the villain Max. The song plays at the hair salon where Gru's wife Lucy works under the new name Blanche.

Regarding this, Director Renaud said, "You can always hear the latest music in places like hair salons or public spaces. We used BTS's music to create a modern feel and to provide positive energy."

BLACKPINK's 'BOOMBAYAH' can be heard in the party bus sequence as the Minions head to the AVL headquarters. This scene captures the Minions' uncontrollable vitality.

Director Renaud commented, "We listened to a lot of songs to find the perfect one for this scene. 'BOOMBAYAH' was a perfect fit to showcase the film's energy, action, and the fun times the Minions have."

Meanwhile, the movie 'Despicable Me 4' is set to be released domestically on the 24th.
