Korean fried chicken brand BBQ opens first franchise store in Vietnam

BBQ announced on Monday that it has opened its first delivery and takeout-only franchise store in Vietnam, a move that will accelerate its presence in the fast-growing food delivery market in the Southeast Asian country.

The new store, BBQ Ocean Park, is located in Ocean Park, a new urban area in the eastern part of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. This marks BBQ’s first franchise store in the country, following the opening of its company-operated BBQ Gardenia store in February.

Spanning 40 square meters, BBQ Ocean Park is strategically situated on the main road leading to Hai Phong, Vietnam’s largest port city, and the popular tourist destination Ha Long Bay.

The area, known as Korea Town, offers various experiences of Korean culture and is surrounded by upscale villas and residential complexes, making it a region with high potential for growth.
