Kolon Mall enhances shopping experience with AI solutions

Kolon Mall, operated by Kolon Industries FnC, announced on Monday that it integrated a variety of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance its online fashion platform.

Kolon Mall introduced four new features on the product detail pages: AI recommended styles, products that are frequently viewed together, popular brand items, and products purchased together.

The AI recommended styles feature is powered by YesPlz, a Silicon Valley-based startup. This solution suggests similar styles and different colors that is in the same category as the item a customer has clicked on.

The implementation of these AI-driven recommendations has significantly boosted Kolon Mall’s performance, with the overall purchase conversion rate - the ratio of customers who click on a product to those who actually purchase it - increasing by about 7 to 8 times.

Kolon Mall also adopted Perfitt’s AI shoe size recommendation solution. This innovative solution uses photos taken with a mobile phone to measure the user’s foot size and shape, and then recommends the best fit by using AI technology within the website.

Kolon Mall applied the AI shoe size recommendation solution in April 2024 to 285 shoe products across four brands: KOLON SPORT, SUECOMMA BONNIE, HEAD, and BOLDEST. Customers who measured their foot size with Perfitt over a three-month period viewed an average of twice as many products as general users. The click conversion rate for the ‘Buy Now’ button also tripled.

Kolon Mall plans to expand the AI shoe size recommendation solution to include shoe products from a total of five brands, adding Archivepke to the list.
