(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) BLACKPINK's Jennie has sparked controversy for allegedly smoking indoors.

Recently, a video suspected to show Jennie smoking indoors spread rapidly on social media and online communities.

The video is a part of "A Moment in Capri with Jennie," released on Jennie's YouTube channel on the 2nd. In the video, Jennie is seen bringing a black object to her mouth while getting her makeup done, and white smoke rises afterward.

This has led to criticism not only for indoor smoking but also for the extreme proximity of the makeup staff to Jennie, who might be non-smokers, suggesting a lack of consideration for others.

Regarding the controversy, her agency, Odd Atelier, stated, "We are currently reviewing the situation and organizing our stance."

This incident comes amid a series of similar controversies involving indoor smoking by celebrities such as Kian84, NCT's Haechan, EXO's D.O. (Do Kyung-soo), and Ji Chang-wook.

Previously, NCT's Haechan was caught using an electronic cigarette indoors in a January NCT 127 dance practice video, which led to a fine from the local health office.

D.O. was also fined after being spotted smoking in the waiting room of MBC's "Show! Music Core."

Ji Chang-wook faced controversy for using an electronic cigarette indoors in a behind-the-scenes video of JTBC's "Welcome to Samdalri."

Recently, "SNL Korea" cast members were also embroiled in indoor smoking controversies. During season 5 of "SNL Korea," Kian84 was seen lighting a cigarette, and scenes of Jung Sung-ho and Kim Min-kyo smoking indoors were also broadcast, resulting in fines from the local health office.

Following the latest controversy involving Jennie, a netizen reported the incident. Netizen A stated that they had requested an investigation through the National Sinmungo to the Korean Embassy in Italy.

Meanwhile, Jennie was featured in Zico's new digital single "SPOT!" released in April.
