Park Gyu-ri of girl group Kara will take a break from her activities this month due to an injury to her face, her agency, Bigboss Entertainment, said Saturday.
“Park Gyu-ri suffered an injury to her cheekbone and orbital wall during her personal schedule and received thorough tests,” the agency said.
“She has to undergo surgery, and we were informed that it will take four to five weeks for her to recover. We have decided to avoid any strenuous activities and help her focus on recovery after careful talks.”
Park will take the month of July off and cancel all planned activities, the agency said.
Park's group, Kara, is set to release single “I Do I Do” on July 24. The girl group is also scheduled to hold four concerts in Japan next month: Tokyo on Aug. 17 and 18 and Osaka on Aug. 24 and 25.
