Jimin's 'Smeraldo Garden' Marches into Billboard Hot 100

Pre-release Track ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’

(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) Jimin of BTS, who is set to make a comeback, has placed a pre-release track on the Billboard main chart.

On July 8th, the American music media outlet Billboard announced via its official social media that the pre-release track "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)" from Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE,' released on June 28, has ranked 88th on the main song chart 'Hot 100' (dated July 13). This marks Jimin's fifth solo track to enter the 'Hot 100.'

'MUSE' is an album that explores the journey of finding the source of inspiration, with seven closely connected songs themed around 'love.'

The pre-release track 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' is based on the concept of a marching band performing while parading. It blends big band (large orchestra) sounds with hip-hop, creating a fantastic harmony with Jimin's refreshing vocals and Loco's rap.

Previously, Jimin first appeared on this chart as a solo artist in 2023 with the song 'VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)' (ranked 76th), a collaboration with Taeyang. Additionally, his solo debut album 'FACE' released the same year, featured the track 'Set Me Free Pt.2' (ranked 30th) and the title track 'Like Crazy' (ranked 1st) on the 'Hot 100.' Notably, with 'Like Crazy,' Jimin became the first K-pop solo artist to top the 'Hot 100,' achieving this feat both as a member of BTS and as an individual artist.

Jimin also charted on the 'Hot 100' with 'Angel Pt. 1 (Feat. Jimin of BTS, JVKE & Muni Long / FAST X Soundtrack)' (ranked 65th), the OST for the movie 'Fast & Furious: Ride or Die.'

According to Billboard's official social media, 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' also secured the top spot on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart and ranked 7th on the 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' chart, proving Jimin's continued popularity.

Meanwhile, Jimin is set to release his second solo album 'MUSE' on July 19th at 1 PM.
