Naver Corp. announced on Wednesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Seongnam City to enhance information accessibility for the Seongnam Resource Recycling Store re100.

This initiative aims to make it easier for citizens to access details about the city’s major recycling program through Naver and Naver Maps.

The Seongnam Resource Recycling Store re100 is the city’s key project where citizens can exchange recyclable materials for points that can be converted into cash. The program aims to achieve 100 percent recycling of collected resources.

Through this partnership, residents will be able to easily find information about the locations, operating hours, contact details, collection items, rewards, and the official webpage of the store via Naver and Naver Maps.

This is expected to promote a circular economy within the local community, Naver said.

It also noted that the partnership with Seongnam City is the beginning of a broader effort to foster a recycling culture across the country.

The company plans to establish various partnerships to spread the practice of resource recycling nationwide.
