Tesla CEO Elon Musk called Koreans “smart” for owning Telsa shares, the most-held foreign stock by Korean investors as revealed by a social media post.
Teslaconomics, an X account posting Tesla-related news, shared Monday that Tesla became the No. 1 foreign stock held by Koreans, alongside a photoshopped Korean flag with a red-and-blue Tesla logo in the middle.
The Tesla CEO, who also owns X, replied to the post in less than four hours, calling Koreans “Smart people" the same day.
The original post had surpassed 264,800 views while Musk’s reply reached 181,100 views as of Wednesday.
Koreans owned $14.6 billion worth of Tesla stocks, according to Korea Securities Depository last Thursday, overtaking Nvidia at $13.4 billion.
