KT&G CEO emphasizes communication, collaboration

KT&G CEO Bang Kyung-man has highlighted the importance of fostering a corporate culture that brings joy, meaning, and motivation for growth to achieve the highest levels of sustainable performance. This message was delivered on Monday as part of a CEO message marking his first 100 days in office.

In his message, Bang used basic arithmetic concepts to hand down the direction for organizational culture improvement, where he emphasized communication and collaboration.

“To create a KT&G where members enjoy their work and grow, we need to add opportunities for communication (+), eliminate inefficiencies (-), maximize synergy through bold challenges and collaboration (×), and share the fruits of growth (÷),” he said.

The CEO’s message was sent via email to all KT&G employees, both within Korea and overseas, and was also distributed in English for staff outside Korea.

Bang has focused on strengthening the company’s core businesses, including overseas cigarette markets, e-cigarettes, and health supplements, since taking office on March 28th, 2024, and formed new divisions for strategy, marketing, and production to maximize performance. He also participated in the inauguration of the ‘Global Junior Committee’ and ‘Global Change Agent (CA),’ corporate culture improvement councils, which promote dialogue between young employees and management to create a better workplace, in June.
