Subway line No. 9 skipped its stop at Heukseok Station in eastern Seoul on Friday morning due to smoke from the station’s mechanical room.
At around 10:47 a.m. Friday, the Seoul Metropolitan Government sent out a public safety alert asking people to “use different transportation as both northbound and southbound trains were not stopping at Heukseok Station because of the smoke.”
Authorities later eliminated the smoke, and service resumed at the station at around 11 a.m., according to a Yonhap News Agency report.
Line No. 9 on Monday skipped its Heukseok Station stop for three hours due to smoke caused by an unknown reason.
