Mega Coffee leads budget coffee chain growth in Korea with over 3,000 branches

The number of affordable coffee chains in Korea, such as Mega Coffee, Compose Coffee and Paikdabang, surged 37.3 percent to 5,285 stores in 2022 compared to the year before, according to the Fair Trade Commission on Sunday.
The figure surpassed 7,000 branches, according to the most recent data. Mega Coffee has the highest number of stores with 3,000, followed by Compose Coffee with 2,500 and Paikdabang with 1,600.
