Jimin from BTS stormed up Japan's Oricon music chart and Spotify's U.S. chart over the weekend with "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band," a song released in advance from his upcoming second solo album.

"Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" topped the Oricon Daily Digital Single Ranking on Friday, the day of its release, with 3,861 downloads, according to his agency BigHit Music. The song also landed at No. 4 on Spotify's Daily Top Song Global chart on Friday with 6.62 million streams, the agency said.

The song sat atop the iTunes Top Song charts in 108 regions around the world as of Saturday morning.

"Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" will be included in the seven tracks of his upcoming album, "Muse," set for release on July 19.

Jimin took part in writing the lyrics of six songs from the album and produced two of the songs, according to the agency. "Muse" comes a year and four months since Jimin's first solo album, "Face," released in March 2023.
