'Moving' receives seven nominations for 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards

Disney+ original series “Moving” (2023) received seven nominations for the upcoming 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards (BSA), the most for any production this year's ceremony.
The BSA, slated for July 19, is organized by local media outlet Sports Chosun. Established in 2022, the awards celebrate the excellence of series and shows on streaming platforms.
The webtoon-based series “Moving” was nominated for the Best Drama awards, and its cast was nominated for the Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best New Actor awards for both male and female categories.
“Moving” cast member Ryu Seung-ryong received a nomination for the Best Actor award’s male category, alongside actors Ryu Jun-yeol, Byun Yo-han, Yim Si-wan, Choi Woo-shik. For the female category under the same award, Han Hyo-joo was nominated, competing with actors Park Bo-young, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Som, Chun Woo-hee.
The nominees for the Best Drama award went to Netflix’s “Mask Girl” (2023), “Daily Dose of Sunshine” (2023), “A Killer Paradox,” Disney+’s “Moving” (2023) and Tving’s “LTNS.”
Among reality television and variety programs, the fifth season of Coupang Play’s comedy show “SNL Korea” received the most nominations with five — Best Variety Program, Best Male Entertainer, Best Female Entertainer, Best New Male Entertainer and Best New Female Entertainer.
For Best Variety Program, Netflix’s “The Devil’s Plan,” Wavve’s “The Thought Verification Zone: The Community,” Coupang Play’s fifth season of “SNL Korea,” JTBC’s “My Sibling’s Romance,’ which was available online exclusively on streaming platform Wavve, and Tving’s “Crime Scene Returns” received nominations.
The Congolese-Korean entertainer duo Jonathan and Patricia were Best New Entertainer nominees.
Nominees were selected from content released between June 1, 2023, and May 31, based on online votes and surveys by experts.
This year’s ceremony will be held at Incheon Paradise City and broadcast on KBS2 at 8:30 p.m. on July 19.
