Samsung Electronics to unveil AI strategies at foundry forum in Seoul

Samsung Electronics Co. plans to enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) chip and system chip ecosystem with local fabless companies.

According to industry sources on Friday, Samsung Electronics will hold the Samsung Foundry Forum (SFF) 2024 and Samsung Advanced Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE) Forum 2024 on July 9 at COEX, Samseong-dong, southern Seoul.

SFF, an annual forum, shares the company’s vision and technology innovations with its lients. The event is held sequentially in the United States., Korea, Japan, and Europe.

Since October 2019, Samsung Electronics has also been organizing the SAFE Forum, an event for partners to share information on technology collaboration.

At this year’s foundry forum, Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil its technology strategies for AI chips. It will mainly put an emphasis on its all-in-one service for AI chip production by encompassing its foundry, memory, and advanced package (AVP) businesses.

The company will also outline plans for collaboration with fabless firms.

On June 13, at the SFF held in Silicon Valley, U.S., Samsung Electronics announced plans to offer clients a one-stop shop, integrating its top-tier memory chip, foundry, and chip packaging services.
