Pakistani court rejects Imran Khan, wife appeal in marriage violation case

The couple had been sentenced to seven years in jail and fined Rs500,000 each in the Nikah case. The case refers to a controversial ruling around the Islamic concept of 'iddat', a three-month period a woman must observe after divorce before she can marry again.
