Boy band Riize will host the "Radar Radio Live" event on July 10 at Musinsa Garage in Mapo District, western Seoul.
The event will be held in collaboration with streaming platform Spotify to celebrate the release of the boy band's first EP "Riizing."
"Radar Radio Live" will consist of two parts, a live talk show and video screening with Riize that fans can attend in person, and a listening party that will be streamed live on the Spotify "K-Pop ON!" official YouTube channel to engage with global fans.
"The event is a part of the Spotify Radar Korea campaign," Spotify said Wednesday in a press release. The Spotify Radar program supports emerging artists with resources, editorial support and marketing promotions both online and offline.
Riize was chosen as the first K-pop boy band for this program in April.
This event, open exclusively to Spotify users, is accepting reservations for the live event on an event website from today until July 4.
“It’s been thrilling to witness the growth of Riize as a Radar artist," said Park Jung-joo, Spotify’s head of music in Korea. "We look forward to continuing our journey with them and showcasing their diverse appeal to more listeners and fans worldwide. Through the Radar program, Spotify aims to support various Korean artists in reaching and connecting with more listeners around the world."
Spotify's Radar program has supported more than 900 artists so far since its start in 2020, including rapper The Kid Laroi, singer-songwriter Lauv, girl groups NMIXX and Le Sserafim and artist Zior Park.
Riize’s first EP, “Riizing,” was released on June 17, peaking at No. 2 on the Melon Top 100 chart with lead track “Boom Boom Bass.”
