Tottenham Hotspur and Team K League will hold open training sessions on July 30 at Seoul World Cup Stadium in western Seoul and Bayern Munich will do the same on Aug. 2, Coupang announced Monday.
The training sessions are part of this year's Coupang Play Series. Launched in 2022, the exhibition game series operated by Korean e-commerce company Coupang typically invites several European clubs and a sort-of All-Star Team K League to participate.
Team K League will feature 22 K League players — 12 voted by fans and 10 chosen by K League coaches — brought together for the sole purpose of playing a preseason match against Spurs on July 31.
The team has yet to be decided, with the vote running through June 30.
Spurs will first start training at Seoul World Cup Stadium at 6 p.m. on July 30, before Team K League do so at 7:30 p.m of the day. Each training session will last about an hour.
The two sides will play each other at the stadium on the next day, with the kickoff at 8 p.m.
Bayern will then hold their training session on Aug. 2 for the first time in front of Korean fans during their first visit to the country.
The Bundesliga side will play Spurs the following day, which will cap off the series schedule.
The Bayern and Spurs clash is a Korean derby between Bayern defender Kim Min-jae and Tottenham captain Son Heung-min.
Coupang will open ticket sales for the training sessions on Friday, when tickets for the two fixtures also go on sale.
Those who purchase premium A, B or C tickets for the preseason games will get automatic access to the training sessions.
Coupang will also pick random premium or training session ticket holders and offer them an opportunity to meet the players on the pitch, the company said.
