Pitta, also known as Kang Hyung-ho, was the winner of Favorite’s weekly chart for the second week of June.
Favorite is a K-pop fan poll co-developed by the digital streaming service Bugs and the JoongAng Ilbo, an affiliate of the Korea JoongAng Daily.
Weekly chart rankings are calculated through a combination of fan votes and an artist's number of streams on Bugs.
Kang landed No. 1 on Favorite’s Weekly Trend poll, receiving a score of 39.5 percent, accounting for 1,714,585 votes and 0.7 percent of Bugs’ streaming score. Kang is a member of the vocal group Forestella.
Trot singer Lim Young-woong landed second with a 30 percent score, accounting for 1,063,212 votes and 5.9 percent of Bugs’ streaming score. Eclipse, the fictional K-pop boy band from the hit drama “Lovely Runner,” landed in third place with 14 percent, accounting for 41,099 votes and 13 percent of Bugs’ streaming score.
Kang will be awarded a celebratory in-app banner on the Bugs phone app from Friday to Sunday, while Lim’s celebratory banner will be featured in the chart categories of the app.
Twice’s Nayeon was the winner of Favorite’s Weekly Comeback chart for the second week of June. Nayeon received a score of 63.8 percent, accounting for 288,822 votes and 0.4 percent of Bugs’ streaming score. Nayeon dropped her second solo EP “NA” on June 14.
NewJeans followed in second place with a 12.9 percent score, accounting for 17,220 votes and 9.1 percent of Bugs’ streaming score. BTS’ Jungkook landed third with a 11.2 percent score.
Nayeon and NewJeans’ celebratory advertisements will appear on Parnas Media Tower from June 22 to July 55 Parnas Media Tower is located near COEX Mall in Gangnam District, southern Seoul.
