LG Electronics Inc. has formed a strategic partnership with ChargePoint Holdings Inc., a leading provider of networked charging solutions for electric vehicles (EVs), to leverage their individual strengths for future EV charging innovations.

The Seoul-based tech company announced the partnership on Wednesday. Its U.S. partner runs EV charging operations in North America and 16 European states, and the partnership allows the two companies to bolster cooperation in public sector infrastructure projects.

LG Electronics has been manufacturing EV chargers at its plant in Texas since January 2024, which were certified for safety by Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
