UK inflation fell to 2 percent, first time since 2021

UK inflation has fallen to an annual rate of 2 percent for the first time since 2021, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The decline, from 2.3 percent in April 2024, was driven by a slight fall in the price of food and soft drinks.
