Korean Air to showcase advanced UAV technology

Korean Air announced on Wednesday that it will be showcasing its innovative unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology to enhance maritime safety at the 2024 Korea Ocean Expo, which will be held at Songdo ConvensiA in Incheon until June 21st, 2024.

The 2024 Korea Ocean Expo, jointly hosted by Incheon City and the Korea Coast Guard, is the only maritime-themed exhibition in the metropolitan area. The 2024 event features participation and sponsorship from over 200 government agencies, companies, and organizations, both Korean and international. The exhibition includes eight themed pavilions focused on sectors including shipbuilding, and aviation alongside marine safety and leisure.

Korean Air will present its latest UAVs and advanced solutions designed for maritime safety. Highlights include the medium-altitude UAV, capable of real-time surveillance of critical targets, and the strike UAV, which combines reconnaissance and strike capabilities.

“This event is an excellent opportunity to apply Korean Air‘s innovative UAV technology and sustainable aviation solutions to the Korean maritime industry and contribute to the enhancement of the Navy’s UAV capabilities,” a company spokesperson said.
