South Korea’s Taihan Cable & Solution Co. has secured three major power grid project orders in the United States, totaling about 130 billion won ($94.2 million).

The company announced on Tuesday that it recently won contracts for one ultra-high voltage (UHV) project and two medium- and low-voltage projects.

With these new contracts, the company’s total new orders in the U.S. have reached about 330 billion won this year.

This figure surpasses 80 percent of the company’s highest annual total of 400 billion won achieved in 2022 since its entry into the U.S. market.

The UHV project valued at 45 billion won in total involves establishing a 345-kilovolt (kV) power grid for a new semiconductor plant in New York State.

Taihan Cable & Solution will be responsible for the entire process, from supplying materials to designing, laying, connecting, and testing the power grid.

The two medium- and low-voltage projects, totaling 85 billion won, will be carried out in Los Angeles, California. One of these projects is a long-term contract to supply medium- and low-voltage cables over three years.
