Kakaobank launches mobile plan comparison service

South Korean digital bank Kakaobank Corp. announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with MOYO, a mobile plan comparison platform, to launch Save Money, a service that allows users to compare and sign up for more than 1,600 budget phone plans from 35 carriers without visiting each carrier‘s website.

The service is available to all customers who are 19 years old or above and have a Kakaobank checking account.

The service analyzes data received from customers, including their current carrier, data usage, and monthly communication fee, and recommends a suitable plan.

Customers will be able to see their potential savings over 12 months at a glance, which will help them reduce their communication costs.

To celebrate the launch, Kakaobank plans to offer 5,000 won ($3.62) to customers who sign up for an affordable phone plan and maintain their Kakaobank bill payment account for 14 days after opening.
