Huneed Technologies will debut its advanced maritime network system at this year’s Korea Ocean Expo, the defense company said Tuesday.
The Korea Ocean Expo, an international shipbuilding trade fair, will run for three days starting Wednesday in Incheon, a coastal city west of Seoul.
Huneed Technologies will display its Future Maritime Network System at the event, a cutting-edge naval communication system. The system is equipped with advanced ad hoc network technologies and can be integrated into existing naval infrastructure seamlessly, according to the company. It uses wireless nodes to enable efficient and reliable communication in challenging environments such as the deepest parts of a vessel's engine room or a mission in which special forces infiltrate naval vessels.
The network system can be deployed in various different platforms, including ships and drones, for naval operations.
“As network communication and real-time data sharing become crucial in today's maritime landscape, our solutions meet the needs of the Coast Guard and Navy for enhanced situational awareness, data sharing, command and control," said Humeed Technologies Chairman Eugene Kim.
"Huneed's technologies will play a key role in protecting our nation’s maritime sovereignty."
Huneed Technologies specializes in military communication technologies. The company was founded in 1968 and was listed on the main Kospi bourse in 1991.
