Pianist Yiruma to perform at Sydney Opera House on June 28

Pianist and composer Yiruma added one performance at the Sydney Opera House on June 28 as part of his ongoing world tour.

Pianist and composer Yiruma added one performance at the Sydney Opera House on June 28 as part of his ongoing world tour.

The performance will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House.

Yiruma has held four performances at the venue, in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2023, which have all sold out. The latest show in December 2023 currently holds the record of most quickly selling out tickets in the history of the opera house.

Tickets for the encore concert have already sold out as well.

After the Sydney performance, Yiruma will perform in Vienna on Sept. 22; Osaka, Japan on Sept. 26; London on Oct. 14 and 15; Cologne, Germany on Oct. 17; and Paris on Oct. 22.

Yiruma is widely recognized for his songs “River Flows in You” (2001) and “Kiss The Rain” (2003). His 2011 album “The Best: Reminiscent, 10th Anniversary” topped Billboard's Classical Albums chart for 23 weeks in 2020, and continues to stay on the charts for its 197th week.
