Lotte Group announced its new ‘I’M’ recruitment process on Monday, which aims to secure practical talent via portfolio evaluations and on-site auditions. The process will be implemented from the company’s June 2024 intake of new employees.

The ‘I’M’ recruitment process focuses on assessing applicants’ job performance abilities, passion, and vision, and will be used for hiring in roles that require strong practical skills such as research and development (R&D), data analysis, marketing, and design. The June recruitment drive will select new employees for 10 subsidiaries, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel, and Lotte Innovate, with applications accepted via Lotte’s recruitment website until June 30th, 2024.

The ‘I’M’ recruitment process consists of three stages: ‘Story Evaluation,’ ‘On-Site Audition,’ and ‘Internship Program.’ During the Story Evaluation, applicants’ portfolios are reviewed to assess their job-related experiences. Applicants must submit portfolios detailing experiences, skills, and strengths that are related to the job they are applying for. The On-Site Audition stage involves tasks such as preparing and presenting materials within a given time frame to evaluate applicants’ job-specific skills.

To ensure that the candidates selected via the ‘I’M’ process are well-prepared before beginning their roles, Lotte added a ‘Job-Specific Internship Program’ to the recruitment process. This program, which will last between four to eight weeks, will provide specialized training in each job area, and the final selection of successful candidates will be made after they complete the internship.
