Samsung Electro-Mechanics goes all-out to recruit tech talents

Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. is intensifying its efforts to attract top tech talent through recruitment strategies.

The electronic component manufacturer recently began a unique recruitment campaign involving sending coffee trucks to major universities, with the chief executive engaged in the talent search.

The company said Sunday that it sent coffee trucks to Sungkyunkwan University in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, to give out free coffee to students during their final exams.

Recruiters from Samsung Electro-Mechanics also gave the students the opportunity to get career advice from the company‘s officials.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics will send coffee trucks to other universities, including Hanyang University and Seoul National University.

Since President Chang Duck-hyun took office, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has stepped up efforts to attract talented individuals. Chang visited his alma mater, Seoul National University, where he delivered a lecture on future digital technologies and new business ventures.
