Boy band Stray Kids' 2020 hit "Back Door" was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), according to the band's agency JYP Entertainment on Friday.
The RIAA hands out gold certifications for digital singles or albums that sell over 500,000 units, platinum certification for over 1 million, multi-platinum certification for over 2 million and diamond certification for over 10 million.
This is the fifth gold certification for Stray Kids, following the full-length album “5-Star” (2023), EP “Rock-Star” (2023) and singles “God’s Menu” (2020) and “Maniac” (2022).
"Back Door" is part of “In Life” (2020) — a repackaging of Stray Kids’ first full-length album “Go Live” (2020) — which sold 233,000 copies in the first week of its release. “Back Door” was produced by the band's in-house producing team 3RACHA, composed of members Bang Chan, Changbin and Han.
Stray Kids is set to headline overseas music festivals, including Milan's I-Days on July 12 and London's British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 14 and Chicago's Lollapalooza on Aug. 2. To find out more about Stray Kids, visit Celeb Confirmed!
