Affected by adverse weather conditions, onions are growing smaller than usual.
Onions that are smaller in size than the regulated dimensions are sold in bulk at lower prices in a supermarket in Seoul on Wednesday.
Onions have stunted in growth due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Despite the change in size, the onions do not differ in taste or quality apart from their size, according to NongHyup Agribusiness Group's retail arm, Korea Agricultural Cooperative Marketing, which is responsible for the marketing and supply of agricultural and livestock products produced under Korea's agricultural cooperative.
