South Korean cloud computing and digital transformation (DT) company INNOGRID announced on Wednesday that it secured a contract to build an integrated system cloud center for Seoul Tourism Organization (STO).

STO, which provides Korean and international tourists with diverse information about Seoul’s attractions, festivals, and events, aims to enhance its IT infrastructure and user convenience via the new cloud center.

Under the contract, INNOGRID will transition seven systems of Seoul Tourism Organization to a stable and easily scalable cloud environment and establish an operational management system that is suitable for cloud computing. This project includes analyzing the existing infrastructure, cloud service provider (CSP)-based transition design, introducing a new operating system (OS) and upgrading the commercial software (SW), as well as migrating, verifying, and standardizing the databases (DB).

“We feel a great sense of responsibility as the main contractor for this project to support the tourism community in Seoul, which is a globally recognized destination,” INNOGRID CEO Kim Myung-jin said. “We will leverage our extensive experience in cloud transition and deployment to provide STO with an optimized cloud environment.”
