Weeks after Bishkek violence some Pakistani student continue their studies at university

On the night between 17 and 18 May, clashes occurred between local residents and foreigners in one of the hostels in the eastern part of Bishkek, with at least 29 injured, the country?s Ministry of Health had confirmed. After that incident and by 22 May hundreds of Pakistani students were evacuated from Bishkek following a visit by the Pakistani Foreign Minister. According to the IMU on 05 June, there are currently, 2,500 foreigners from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia who are enrolled as students at one of the university's seven departments EPA/IGOR KOVALENKO
