Hyundai Home Shopping utilizes AI to create short-form videos

Hyundai Home Shopping Network Corp. has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) system that creates one-minute video summaries of its broadcasts and live commerce videos.

According to the company on Wednesday, the automated video creator converts the host‘s speeches into text and edits the video by analyzing segments with high viewership, such as product usage and fitting scenes.

The company explained that it takes only five minutes to reduce a broadcast video of over 60 minutes to a one-minute clip.

Through the AI-powered system, Hyundai Home Shopping plans to produce up to 10 short-form videos per day, focusing on high-demand product categories such as fashion, beauty, and food.

These AI-generated short-form videos will be featured on the company’s YouTube channel to promptly address customer inquiries and boost purchase conversion rates.

“We aim to strengthen our position as a content channel for new customers on YouTube and enhance synergy with our affiliates’ mobile platforms to provide a unique user experience,” the company said. “Our content production system will help us attract new customers and boost our competitiveness.”
