SOOP (formerly afreecaTV) announced its launch of GGGL, a new service for operating e-sports tournaments, on Friday.

The service’s name is derived from the “Good Game, Good Luck” greeting that gamers exchange among themselves before starting a game, and it offers a comprehensive range of services for operating e-sports tournaments, including participant registration, match list generation, and announcements.

Streamers and users using the SOOP platform can easily create e-sports tournament pages using GGGL. Separate communication networks and promotional support services are also provided for game companies and tournament organizers.

SOOP plans to host an event on GGGL that will offer a total of 25 million won ($18,500) in prize money to tournament organizers.

“with GGGL, we aim to create ‘everyday e-sports’ that anyone can enjoy, regardless of whether they are professional gamers or not,” Chae Jeong-won, who heads the company’s e-sports and game content business division, said.
