(MHNSports Reporter Sun Shin) Singer and actress Yoona from Girls' Generation faced allegations of racial discrimination at the Cannes Film Festival.

According to reports from Indian media outlets Times of India and Hindustan Times on May 26th (local time), Yoona, who attended the 77th Cannes Film Festival in France, was blocked by a female security guard.

The media reported, "Although Yoona did not show it outwardly, she seemed visibly uncomfortable."

In a video uploaded online showing Yoona attending the Cannes Film Festival, the moment where a security guard stops her as she turns to pose for the press can be seen. In the video, Yoona turns slightly uncomfortable as the guard stops her from waving.

Additionally, African-American singer Kelly Rowland and Dominican Republic actress Massiel Taveras were also shown being stopped from waving.

Further reports indicated that the female security guard only blocked communication between the press and stars of color.

Meanwhile, Yoona was officially invited to this international film festival as the only Korean ambassador for the jewelry brand Qeelin.
