Following Brown’s 2011 solo show at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the latest event is taking place at Gladstone Gallery Seoul in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, through June 8th, 2024. It also features seven new paintings created from 2022 to date, with prices ranging from hundreds of millions of won to billions of won.

“I‘m delighted to be showing my work in Korea for the first time in a long while,” Brown said. “The two paintings on the first floor were the first ones I chose for my Korean audience.” These two paintings, “Nana” and “The Return of Sweetie,” were created between 2022 and 2023. Nana is inspired by French painter Édouard Manet’s painting “Nana,” which was completed in 1877.
