Flooding across 14 provinces in Afghanistan has led to human and financial losses, with 294 reported deaths, 266 injuries, and the destruction of 14,923 homes and 6,655 animals, Janan Sayeg said. Provinces affected include Baghlan, Ghor, Takhar, Faryab, Badakhshan, Samangan, Sarpul Herat, Badghis, Laghman, Bamiyan, Farah, Nuristan, and Kapisa. Over 20 million Afghanis in cash has been given to affected families by the Taliban government, and there are plans for house repairs and reconstruction for flood victims in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and other national and international organizations.
