Wife of Thai migrant worker who was killed in Hamas attack meets the press

epa11336450 Narisara Malee, the wife of a Thai worker who was killed in Israel, wipes her tears next to her daughter during a press conference at the Israeli embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, 13 May 2024. Narisara, the 30-year-old widow of Thai migrant worker Tianchai Yotthongdee, said that she is suffering from major depressive disorder following his death during the 07 October 2023 attack on Alumim kibbutz by Hamas, and it is difficult to answer her two children on their father's return to home. The Israeli embassy in Bangkok confirmed that it will provide compensation money to Narisara and support the education of the children, aged 8 and 12, until the age of 21. The family was invited by the embassy to attend a 'Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Actions of Terror' ceremony that was held on 12 May 2024. At least 39 Thai nationals have been killed and eight are still held as hostages by Hamas, according to the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. EPA/RUNGROJ YONGRIT
