The chairman of GS Group met with other executive leaders gathered in Seattle, the United States, to discuss potential investments in digital transformation.

The company announced on Wednesday that it began an executive-level meeting in Seattle on April 30th, 2024. GS Group Chairman Huh Tae-soo attended the meeting alongside GS Holdings President & Chief Executive Officer Hong Soon-Ky, GS Caltex President Huh Sae-hong, and other chief executive leaders from major affiliates.

The conglomerate has convened CEO meetings annually since 2011, and the last meeting focused on generative artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. The group visited Microsoft Corp‘s headquarters on Wednesday to gain insights into digital transformation practices and discuss topics such as the future of work and AI-driven industrial transformation with local experts.

The CEOs also visited the headquarters of Amazon Web Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, the following day.

“Digital AI technology serves as a catalyst for enhancing the creativity and business potential of talent,” according to GS Group Chairman Huh, who stressed the need for CEOs to proactively deepen their understanding of technology and drive spontaneous digital transformation in the workplace.
