With National Assembly speaker Kim Jin-pyo preparing to leave the country for a trip to the United States starting Saturday without putting to a vote under his jurisdiction several controversial bills, including a special act on looking into the suspicious death of a Marine, Park Jie-won, a member of the Democratic Party (DP) and the oldest lawmaker-elect in the upcoming legislature, called the speaker from his own party “a son of bitch.” In the meantime, the majority party plans to railroad the bills, vetoed by President Yoon Suk Yeol, before the term of the current legislature expires on May 29.
