Model Kim Jin-kyung to marry Korea goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu

Model Kim Jin-kyung and footballer Kim Seung-gyu, the goalkeeper for Korea’s national football team, will hold their wedding in June, the model's agency Sublime Artist Agency announced Monday.
“Kim Jin-kyung will marry Kim Seung-gyu in June,” Sublime Artist Agency confirmed with local news outlets on Monday .
The two reportedly became closer due to their shared interest in football. Kim Jin-kyung currently stars on SBS’s entertainment show “Shooting Stars” (2021-), a weekly series featuring female celebrities who play indoor football. She plays for FC Gucheok Jangsin in the Challenge League.
Kim Jin-kyung made her debut as a model after finishing second on the third season of Onstyle’s model audition program “Korea’s Next Top Model” (2012). She had her first acting role in Naver TV drama series “Yellow” (2015), and has subsequently starred in dramas including KBS1’s “Andante” (2017-18) and KBS2’s “Perfume” (2019).
Kim Seung-gyu got his professional start in 2006 as a goalkeeper for Ulsan HD. He has also played for Japanese clubs Vissel Kobe and Kashiwa Reysol, and he currently plays for Al-Shabab FC in the Saudi Pro League.
The footballer made his first national appearance in 2006 with the U-17 national team, and subsequently played on the U-20 and U-23 teams. He made his first cap for the senior national team, then led by Hong Myung-bo, in a friendly match with Peru in 2013. His first World Cup was the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Kim Seung-gyu was the goalkeeper when the Korean national team won a gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games, held in Incheon.
