LG Electronics bolsters B2B business with AI robot

LG Electronics Inc. will provide an artificial intelligence (AI) robot to Kakao Mobility Corp. as it accelerates its business-to-business (B2B) growth.

LG Electronics said Monday that it will begin the supply of its service robot, LG CLOi, to Kakao Mobility for its robot delivery service, BRING.

The robot will be employed in the mobility company’s targeted service areas such as offices, hotels and hospitals starting Thursday.

LG CLOi can hold up to 30 kilograms of items in a 4-compartment drawer and up to 32 cups of 350ml coffee. It is equipped with antimicrobial materials and ventilation fans. It also has a 10.1-inch display on the front that serves as a mobile billboard.

LG Electronics and Kakao Mobility have been collaborating on AI robot delivery services since they signed a memorandum of understanding in 2022 on the innovation of future mobility services.
