South Korea’s LG Household & Health Care Co. said on Friday that it launched a program called ‘School, smile!’ as part of its “Double U Campaign” with the Korean Red Cross to work towards a safe and warm world without violence.

The program consists of six subjects essential for preventing school bullying: empathy, emotional control, positive thinking, accepting differences, digital communication, and defensive behavior.

The first classes for 2024 were held on Monday at seven schools, including Bonghwa Elementary School in Seoul. LG Household & Health Care plans to hold a total of 2,400 classes in 164 elementary and middle schools nationwide by the end of the year.

The company is also planning activities to identify and support victims of various forms of violence, including indiscriminate violence, in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Victims of violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and dating violence, will be supported with various expenses such as living expenses, medical expenses, and housing expenses, as well as free legal advice.
