LS Eco Energy wins $31mn high-voltage cable supply deal in Denmark

LS Eco Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of South Korea’s LS Cable & System Ltd., has clinched high-voltage cable project deals in Denmark.

According to LS Eco Energy on Wednesday, it will supply $30.51 million worth of high-voltage cables to Energinet, a Danish state-owned energy company, for three years.

The latest deal follows the company’s recent success in winning a $13 million contract earlier this month for the supply of high-voltage cables in Denmark.

Denmark has a high demand for high-voltage cables due to the construction of offshore wind farms and the undergrounding of overhead transmission lines.

LS Eco Energy has been supplying cables to Denmark for over a decade, totaling more than 1,000 kilometers.

Over the past eight years, LS Eco Energy, in collaboration with LS Cable & System, has solidified its position as the leading supplier to Energinet in both the sub-170 kilovolt and over-220 kilovolt cable segments through long-term supply contracts.
