German Chancellor Scholz meets Representatives of leading German business associations

epa11269915 German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrives at the 'House of the German Economy' in Berlin, Germany, 10 April 2024. Chancellor Scholz will take part in the joint closed meeting of the Confederation of German Employers (BDA), the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH). In a joint letter addressed directly to Chancellor Scholz, the leading German business associations express their great concern about "the political, social and economic development in which our country finds itself". The German economy is facing major structural challenges and Germany is becoming less attractive as a business location, not least due to political decisions.
