New JW Pharm allergy medication lessens drowsiness

JW Pharmaceutical announced on Tuesday the launch of a new soft capsule allergy treatment with an active pharmaceutical ingredient (fexofenadine hydrochloride) that minimizes drowsiness, one of its side effects. The company claims that the new product effectively alleviates symptoms caused by fine dust and pollen such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion.

Fexofenadine hydrochloride is a third-generation antihistamine that has a lower sedative effect, thereby reducing the drowsiness commonly associated with earlier generations of antihistamines.

With the onset of spring, which brings an increase in pollen and fine dust, there has been a rise in patients suffering from allergic rhinitis symptoms. The latest product effectively manages springtime allergy symptoms to offer relief to those affected, the company said.
