Boy band Trendz will make its Japanese debut in the summer, the band’s agency Global H Media said Wednesday.
The band will hold its Japanese debut showcase at the KT Zepp Yokohama venue in the summer, Global H Media said. A specific date was not given.
Trendz recently signed a contract with record label and distributor Avex Trax, a subsidiary under Japanese entertainment conglomerate Avex, that will manage the band’s activities in Japan, Global H Media added. Avex Trax has also managed promotion and distribution for multiple K-pop acts including Big Bang, SHINee, Blackpink and EXO.
Trendz, pronounced "trend zee," debuted in 2022 as a seven-member boy band with its first EP "Blue Set Chapter 1. Tracks." Before its debut, the band was known for uploading dance cover videos of other popular K-pop songs.
The band has previously performed at the Asia Artist Awards In Japan ceremony, and held a showcase for its second single, “Blue Set Chapter. New Dayz,” in Japan in 2023.
The band is currently on its first world tour titled “New Dayz.”
