LG U+\'s mind management platform \'Dada\'

LG Uplus said on March 26 that its mind management platform Dapda has gathered 20,000 subscribers within six months of its launch. The application was downloaded about 22,000 times, and the "subscription conversion rate," which refers to the percentage of customers signing up for the service after downloading the app, has reached 86 percent.

By the middle of this month, the number of diaries accumulated in Dapda was some 92,000. This means that each user wrote an average of 2.8 diaries per week.

Launched in September last year, Dapda is a service in which users write about their daily emotions in a diary and an artificial intelligence (AI) counselor based on OpenAI's ChatGPT analyzes the contents and replies to the diary. If a user chooses an emotion that represents his or her feeling among 110 emotions and writes a diary within 2,000 characters, he or she can receive a reply from AI counselor "Maringi" within 12 hours.

For example, if a user writes in a diary that "I spent a busy day studying for an exam," then Maringi replies with sympathy, saying, "You must have had a hard day.”

LG Uplus plans to upgrade the service in the future by utilizing its own AI technology called “ixi-GEN.”

Dapda is part of LG Uplus's strategy to expand its 'lifestyle' platform. The goal is to increase the time spent on the platform through the mind management app, and to expand into related services such as healthcare, pet, and travel through accumulated data.
