ZeroBaseOne’s first Japanese single “yurayura -unmeinohana-" smashed records by selling the most copies for a Japanese debut music release by a K-pop act in a day, according to the band’s agency WakeOne on Thursday.

A total of 187,694 copies were sold on the day of its release, according to music industry data tracker Oricon on Wednesday. It ranked first on the daily Oricon Singles Chart, which is based on physical sales, for Tuesday and for Wednesday. Tuesday tracked the pre-release sales for the album.

The three-track single “yurayura -unmeinohana-" contains the title track of the same name as well as two B-side tracks: the Japanese versions of previously released Korean tracks “In Bloom” (2023) and “Crush” (2023).

ZeroBaseOne, also known as ZB1, is a project group formed through cable network Mnet's audition program “Boys Planet.” The band is scheduled to be active until 2026, two and a half years after its first release on July 10, 2023.

The band will hold its first Japanese fan concert, “2024 ZeroBaseOne Fan-Con in Japan,” this weekend. Concerts will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the K-Arena Yokohama.
