The Shilla Duty Free Shop, operated by South Korea’s Hotel Shilla Co., has extended its concession for a cosmetics, fragrance, fashion and accessories store at Hong Kong International Airport by three years, the company said Wednesday.

The new extension will run until September 30, 2027.

With this extension, the duty free shop has now secured stable business rights at three major hub airports in Asia, including Incheon International Airport (until June 30, 2033) and Singapore Changi International Airport (until March 31, 2028).

The combined annual passenger traffic at these three airports exceeded 150 million people last year.

Shilla Duty Free has operated its stores stably for seven years since winning the business rights for cosmetics, perfumes, fashion, and accessories at the Hong Kong International Airport after competing with major global duty-free operators like Dufry and DFS,

The Shilla Duty Free Shop at the airport located on the Isle of Chek Lap Kok covers an area of about 3,300 square meters.

The airport’s six departure and arrival shops feature more than 200 brands, including top global brands such as Chanel, Dior, Estée Lauder, and Lancôme, as well as premium Korean cosmetics brands.

In addition to undergoing major renovations in the first half of this year to introduce new concept stores incorporating digital elements, The Shilla Duty Free Shop plans to install luxury perfume brand zones.
