Hana Bank will work with startup Hirediversity to offer financial literacy programs to international students and help them use the bank's services.
The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Monday to host financial literacy lectures for international students attending universities in Korea.
They will further create relevant educational content and offer additional financial services tailored to the needs of foreign residents.
The companies will also help international students engage in banking tasks through the Hana EZ application and at Hana Bank branches.
The Hana EZ app is offered in 16 languages such as English, Chinese and Vietnamese, allowing users to transfer money abroad and issue digital identity verification certificates.
Hirediversity is a startup founded in 2020, assisting international students with administrative procedures such as reporting a housing lease, applying for health insurance exemption and getting residence card numbers.
